Southern Smoke BBQ
SurfPig stopped in at Southern Smoke BBQ in Garland, NC. Wonderful smell of the ribs being prepared for a catering gig filled the air. Although they were closed, but Matthew Register saw SurfPig pull up and came out to speak and invite us back when open. Matthew graciously shared some of their story and their devotion to premium and local suppliers like Heritage Farms Cheshire Pork and Burch Family Farms. SurfPig looks forward to heading down the #bbqhwy to Garland and Southern Smoke on a Thursday or Friday for lunch when they are open and serving. Better yet attending one of their Southern Supper Series. Take a detour off the main roads and a quick trip down the BBQHWY to Southern Smoke BBQ.
