Bum's Restaurant

A favorite Q joint down East in Ayden, NC. After retiring from the U.S Navy, Latham “Bum” Dennis officially opened Bum’s Restaurant in downtown Ayden on October 10, 1966. For around 46 years, Bum’s has tweaked the same menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner according to feedback from customers. Their cooking styles date back to the 1930’s when the entire Dennis family contributed to cooking everything according to how most southern folks were cooking in their own homes.
